An Internet of Better Things
The internet deserves better things. Right now we are using it mostly for entertainment and shopping.
Think about it, social media and streaming services are eating up most of the bandwidth. Our home connection is 99% download and about 1% upload. We are taking way more than we contribute. Cat videos and people dancing in-sync are clogging our data usage.
We can do better.
There are real problems in the world. A lot of them can use the Internet to disperse timely information anywhere in the world. We can have an educated population, travel in a pandemic and trains on demand.
The network doesn’t care what data it carries. We should make sure it’s useful to humanity.
